 Papua – one of Indonesia’s most remote and fascinating regions, where dramatic highland landscapes meet ancient tribal traditions. In the heart of the Baliem Valley you will discover the authentic culture of the Dani and Lani tribes, surrounded by lush vegetation and untouched mountain scenery.

During private excursions you will walk through traditional hamlets and villages, visit Lake Habbema – the highest lake in Indonesia – and experience the highlight of the journey: a spectacular traditional pig festival.

You will stay at the unique Baliem Valley Resort, combining comfort with authenticity. This 8 days / 7 nights cultural tour requires no special fitness level and is suitable for everyone.

Traditional Dani Pig Festival – A rare and spectacular cultural celebration, offering a deep insight into ancient highland traditions and community life.

Authentic Encounters with the Dani People – Private village visits, walks through traditional settlements, participation in local activities such as salt harvesting and Buah Merah preparation.

Lake Habbema (3,200 m) – Indonesia’s highest lake, surrounded by unique alpine flora and offering breathtaking views of Mount Trikora.

Chief’s Mummies of the Baliem Valley – Visits to rare and centuries-old preserved clan mummies in remote villages such as Meagaima and Jiwika.

Hiking in the Untouched Highlands – Scenic treks through the Baliem Valley and Sekan Mountains, across suspension bridges, along rivers, and through lush rainforests filled with orchids and tree ferns.
