Sudan: Port Sudan and The Ancient Island of Suakin

Day 1. Arrival in Port Sudan
Arrival in Port Sudan, the main port city on Sudan’s Red Sea coast. Following arrival, we will meet our English-speaking guide and begin an introduction to the city. The tour provides our first impression of Port Sudan and its role as an important centre on the Red Sea. We will then continue to our accommodation, where the remainder of the day will be free for rest and independent activities. (-/-/-)

Day 2. Port Sudan - Suakin - Port Sudan
Today, we leave Port Sudan and drive towards Suakin Island, one of the most historically significant places along Sudan’s Red Sea coast. Upon arrival, we will explore the island and its historic surroundings, discovering the remains that reflect Suakin’s former importance as a trading and maritime centre. We will also visit the Suakin Museum, where we can learn more about the island and its heritage. After the visit, we return by road to Port Sudan, with the remainder of the day at leisure. (-/-/-)

Day 3. Port Sudan City Tour - Departure
Our final day begins with a further city tour of Port Sudan, allowing us to explore more of the city before concluding our stay on the Red Sea coast. Following the sightseeing program, we will be transferred to Port Sudan International Airport for our departure. End of services. (-/-/-)
