Weekend Cycling in Teteven Balkan

Weekend Cycling in Teteven Balkan

From the bicycle - into the swimming pool! It’s really nice to work out a little bit, to make your body sweat and then relax in a hot mineral spring. It’s even nicer if you don’t make these efforts in a gym, but in the open fresh air and in the beautiful nature. But the best of it all is if you experience it in a good company sharing together a pleasant evening. And you always talk it through with your friends, and then postpone it … and nothing really happens. Leave all the organizational troubles to us! We offer you a 2-day cycling tour in the beautiful Teteven Balkan: roads with little traffic and with moderate ascends and descends, ancient beech forests, small villages, where one can drink a beer without thinking that his driving license can be suspended, Etropole Monastery and the nearby waterfall, an evening of fun and a sound sleep in the village of Ribaritsa, and in the end - complete relaxation in the mineral spring in the village of Chiflik.

Itinerary:

Day 1. Sofia - Teteven - Ribaritsa
We start the weekend with a transfer to Etropole monastery. After short sightseeing we set on a cycling tour in the picturesque nature of Teteven Balkan. Our route passes by the small villages of Padesh, Yamna, Cherni Vit and ends in Teteven, where we will have a short walk to the Skoka waterfall. During the tour we will enjoy short stops for resting and a picnic. We overnight in Ribaritsa.
Cycling: approx. 54 km

Day 2. Ribaritsa - Beli Osam - Chiflik

Another day of splendid views! We put on our helmets and bike towards the village of Shipkovo, followed by Gorno Trape, Beli Osam and the set route for the day ends in Chiflik, where we can enjoy a well-deserved rest in a mineral pool. After the hot bath we return to Sofia.
