Dear Dimo and Penguin DK, We have returned from an excellent travel to a very interesting and friendly country. Our group of 9 persons had a good time in company and we enjoyed to have two guides of knowledge, spirit and humor. The food was excellent and driving in the bus and catering with tea was perfect. Hotels were fine and the one in Yazd was a travel back in time to, a historical hotel. The one in Teheran ok, but, a bit run down. We can only recommend others to do this trip and being ourselves in the 70-ies, we have no doubts as to recommend it to elderly people - 65+. We hope to travel with Penguin another time. I had a great time and was very positively surprised about the Countries and especially the people. So open and glad to see us.

The trip was very well organized, we visited places of highest interest in the country, and we were expertly helped with any questions and issues we had.

My summarized opinion: I participated a very interesting and valuable trip. Although there were situations we could understand or explain quite hardly, these were basically not due to the specifics of the country but to the mentality and lack of responsibility of the local tour guides. I save only positive memories of the country and the sights: the kindness of the people, the Sumerian city-states and the Iraq Museum, the accommodations suited all my needs, the comfortable and spacious bus… I will remember these and I will forget the problems caused by the behavior of the local tour guides. Local tour guides need to learn not to lie - because passengers aren’t stupid and don’t believe everything -, not to change the itinerary for no reason, in general, they can’t create situations where the passengers feel they have to fight for what they have already paid for. And it would be so salute if they shared their knowledge of Iraqi culture with the passengers. Of course, these problems should not be discussed with them but with their boss – as we know … I am waiting for the next exciting tour organized by Penguin Travel.

Уникално пътуване, много интересна дестинация, привкус от древните цивилизации на Месопотамия, както и от по-късния ислямски период, Иракският музей в Багдад е топ музей, хареса ми и това, че видяхме събирането на Тигър и Ефрат при Кюрна. Страхотна отзивчивост и компетентност както от нашия водач Любо, така и от домакините от агенцията от Наджаф!

Fantastic trip with Penguin Travel! Loved all the sights we got to see in Saudi Arabia. Abdulaziz and Lyuben were very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for solo and group travelers, especially those wanting an "off the beaten path" experience. Can't wait to travel with Penguin again!
