Brazil: From the Atlantic to the Amazon

As the largest country in South America, Brazil offers an extraordinary variety of experiences, activities, and landscapes. Magnificent natural wonders, vibrant cities, and the vast Amazon Rainforest come together to create an unforgettable journey that appeals to travelers of every interest. Here, you will be amazed by the breathtaking Iguazu Falls, one of the world's greatest natural wonders, where hundreds of cascading waterfalls plunge through lush subtropical rainforest. You will also experience the vibrant spirit of Rio de Janeiro from the summit of Corcovado Mountain, home to the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, and admire spectacular views over Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain. The journey then continues to Manaus, the lively gateway to the Amazon, where we venture into the world's largest tropical rainforest, surrounded by tranquil rivers, extraordinary wildlife, and one of the planet's most precious natural treasures. From the immense power of Iguazu Falls to the emerald heart of the Amazon, this itinerary brings together Brazil's most remarkable natural and cultural highlights in one unforgettable adventure.

Highlights

  • Foz do Iguaçu and Iguazu Falls: One of the world's most spectacular natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Straddling the border between Brazil and Argentina, Iguazu Falls comprises approximately 275 waterfalls stretching across nearly three kilometers. Its most famous section is the dramatic Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo), where immense volumes of water plunge into a cloud of mist with a thunderous roar.
  • Rio de Janeiro: One of the world's most beautiful cities, renowned for its stunning coastline, the iconic Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, vibrant atmosphere, and granite peaks rising above the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer: Standing atop Corcovado Mountain, the 38-metre Christ the Redeemer monument is one of Brazil's most recognizable landmarks and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. From the viewing platform, visitors enjoy sweeping views of Rio de Janeiro, its beaches, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and Sugarloaf Mountain.
  • Sugarloaf Mountain: An iconic granite peak rising nearly 400 metres above Guanabara Bay, reached by its famous cable car. From the summit, visitors can admire spectacular views of Rio's coastline, surrounding mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Manaus: The capital of Amazonas State and the largest city in the Amazon rainforest. Prospering during the rubber boom of the nineteenth century, Manaus is renowned for its elegant architecture, highlighted by the magnificent Amazon Theatre, regarded as one of Brazil's finest historic buildings.
  • The Amazon Rainforest: The world's largest tropical rainforest, often referred to as the "Lungs of the Earth," covering millions of square kilometres and sheltering an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. Here, we will cruise along peaceful rivers, walk among centuries-old trees, and immerse ourselves in one of the planet's richest natural environments.

Khiva, Uzbekistan: Things to Do, How Many Days & Getting There

Inside the mud-brick walls you'll find mosques, madrasas, palaces and minarets packed so tightly that you can walk from one gate to the other in about 15 minutes. People still...

Cameroon Tour Guide: Best Places, Costs & Travel Tips

A Cameroon tour delivers more variety in one country than most African itineraries manage across three. Rainforest, volcanic peaks, Sahel savannah, Atlantic beaches and more than 250 ethnic groups sit within a single set of borders - which is why geographers have long called Cameroon "Africa in miniature". It is also one of the continent's least visited destinations, so the crowds you...

Mozambique Tour: Your Complete Guide to Africa's Indian Ocean Coast

A Mozambique tour swaps the safari-vehicle crowds for something rarer: 2,500 kilometres of Indian Ocean coastline, coral reefs that rank among the healthiest in Africa, and an Afro-Portuguese culture you will not find anywhere else on the continent. This is a beach-and-culture destination first, a wildlife one second - and that is exactly why it appeals to travellers who have already ticked off...
