Albanian Coastal Trail

Albanian Coastal Trail 890 , 8 Days

Beyond the Karaburun Peninsula and right beneath the 2000 m high Ceuranian Peaks, the Albanian Riviera stretches until the Greek border and attracts thousands of beachgoers during the hot summer months. In spring and autumn, the mountains and coves are all yours to enjoy, ideally combined on this self-guided walking holiday. Your journey starts at the Ionian Sea's coastline and finishes high above in the Llogara National Park. Inbetween you hike on empty shepherd’s trails, through citrus groves and olive trees, from one quaint stone village to another. Swim in shimmering, crystal clear waters at secluded beaches, breathe in the herb-scented mountain air every day and enjoy fine Albanian food, a mix of fresh Mediterranean and hearty mountain cuisine. You experience what lies beyond the seashore and others are missing out on, all at your own pace and carefree, while we take care of your accommodation and daily transfers for a peace-of-mind adventure.

Highlights:
♦ Idyllic villages of the Ionian Coast
♦ Vlora Bay -

Most of you, who are used to walking/cycling during a long weekend, will be in condition to cope with a tour of this level. You should be in a good health condition. We have successive days of longer and more difficult walking and days of lighter walking/cycling. Some parts of the day routes are done at a higher altitude. The paths are in good condition. We walk/cycle for 5/7h a day.

These tours include trekking which is a little harder, normally on a challenging terrain. We take it for granted that you are in good condition and fit. You should be physically prepared at home to get the maximum of the tour. Most of the trekking is done at a greater height (max 3000m).
