Itinerary:

Day 1.Arrival
lIndividual journey to Fuschl am See.

Day 2.Fuschl - Lake Mondsee
Step by step, you climb to the Wartenfels ruins,where beautiful views of Lakes Mondsee and Irrsee await. If you wish, you can also hike up to the Schober peak.From there, you’ll enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut region.B/-/-

Day 3.Lake Mondsee - Lake Attersee - Lake Wolfgangsee
In the morning, you take a bus to Unterach on Lake Attersee.From there,you follow a scenic lakeside trail and hike through the Burggrabenklamm gorge up to the alpine pastures and the idyllic Lake Schwarzensee.Be sure to stop for some homemade pastries at Lore’s cabin by the lake.The route then continues downhill to Lake Wolfgangsee.B/-/-

Day 4.Wolfgangsee – Ausseerland
Take the bus to the starting point of the hike in Bad Ischl.Follow the historic brine pipeline trail into the Rettenbach Valley and continue uphill to the Blaa Alm alpine pasture,located at the foot of the Loser massif,as you enter the Ausseerland region.B/-/-

Day 5.Ausseerland - Hallstatt
The path follows the banks of the Traun River to the traditional summer holiday resort of Bad Aussee, then continues through the wild and idyllic Koppental Valley, where you can visit the Koppenbrüller Caves.Take a boat to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hallstatt,known for its many sights.B/-/-

Day 6.Hallstatt - Gosau
Take the cable car up the Salzberg,where the famous Skywalk viewing platform offers breathtaking views.Pass the salt mine and continue up to the alpine pastures.The trail continues across the plateau to Löckermoos.The Bibelschmugglerweg (Bible Smuggler's Trail) leads you down to Lake Gosau,where the mighty Dachstein Glacier is beautifully reflected in the water.It’s worth stopping for a bite to eat on the lakeshore before taking the bus into the Gosau Valley.B/-/-

Day 7.Gosau – Fuschl am See
From Gosau, the route leads along forest paths via the Iglmoos Alm to the Goiserer Alpine Club Hut, located on a mountain ridge with fascinating views over the Goiserer Valley and Lake Hallstatt.You have the option to make a summit ascent to the Hochkalmberg, known for its unique rock formation called the Steinerner Indianer (“Stone Indian”).The descent takes you through the Kesselgraben gorge and along the Schüttbach River down to Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt. From there,you take the bus to Fuschl am See.B/-/-
