Itinerary:
Day 1. Entebbe - Murchison Falls
Arrive Entebbe early morning. We will make a stop at the top of the Murchison Falls. Prepare to be awestruck as you witness the raw power of the Nile River as it plunges through a narrow crevice, creating the spectacular Murchison Falls. Continue to Elephant View Lodge for overnight. -/-D
Day 2. Murchison Falls NP, Nile boat safari and village walk
The day begins early when we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Ugandan kobs. We search for lion, elephant, buffalo and other animals in their natural habitat. After the game drive we take a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Here, we'll have the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sight of the Nile as it flows through a narrow 7-meter gap and cascades down to the delta. Back to our lodge for lunch.
A guided walk in the afternoon visiting the villages nearby and getting acquainted with the traditional customs and lifestyle of the inhabitants. We will visit the primary school, the catholic church, traditional homesteads. B/L/D
Day 3. Murchison Falls - Fort Portal - Amabere Caves and Nyakasura Falls
Today we will drive via the Albertaine Escarpment of the western Rift valley on the Masindi-Hoima-Fort portal road. The tour will take about 5.5 hours driving south via Hoima to Fort Portal, passing though verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the Fabled "Mountains of the Moon". In the afternoon a short drive (20 km) to Amabere crater lakes and Niakassura Waterfall. Back to Fort Portal for overnight. Day 4. Kibale National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Kibale NP is just 25 km away from Fort Portal. Kibale Forest is reputable for having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa The chimp trekking will take about 2-3 hours. On this guided nature walk we will see other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. Continue to Queen Elizabeth NP after lunch. B/-/D
Day 5. Queen Elizabeth NP - Fort Portal
After a cup of coffee embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile in the park and expect to see lions, elephants, cape buffalo, warthogs, leopard, hyena, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs, and lots many small animals and birds.
Optional boat trip (2 hours) on the Kazinga Channel before we drive back to Fort Portal for overnight. B/-/-
Day 6. Fort Portal - Entebbe - Bugala Island
Early morning breakfast before we set back to Entebbe, the tour taking 5 hours. We will catch the ferry at 2 pm to Ssese Islands. B/-/-
Day 7. Bugala Island
If you’re looking for a place to slow right down, Ssese’s lush archipelago of 84 islands along Lake Victoria’s northwestern shore boasts some stunning white-sand beaches. There are canoes for hire or can choose to explore the island on a motor bike.We spend two nights in our lodge on the lake shore. B/-/-
Day 8. Bugala Island - Entebbe
We take the ferry back to Entebbe. Our guide will meet you at the ferry terminal to drive you to your hotel for the last overnight. B/-/-
