Day 1. Arrival in Puerto Natales
Upon arrival at Punta Arenas Airport, we will be met by our representative and transferred to our hotel in Puerto Natales, the gateway to Chilean Patagonia. Day 2. Torres del Paine National Park Excursion
Today, we embark on a full-day adventure through the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park, one of South America's most celebrated natural treasures. Leaving Puerto Natales behind, we travel towards Villa Cerro Castillo, enjoying magnificent scenery of Patagonian steppe, glacial valleys, mountain ranges, and pristine lakes along the way. If we're lucky, we may even spot majestic condors soaring overhead. Our first stop is the panoramic Lake Sarmiento Viewpoint, where spectacular views of the dramatic Paine Massif unfold before us, before continuing to Laguna Amarga, an important habitat for graceful flamingos. Inside Torres del Paine National Park, we visit Lake Nordenskjöld, Salto Grande Waterfall, Lake Pehoé, Weber Bridge, the Paine River, and the scenic Grey Lake Viewpoint, each offering unforgettable opportunities to admire Patagonia's pristine wilderness. Following a delicious buffet lunch, we continue to the remarkable Milodón Cave Natural Monument, an important archaeological and paleontological site famous for the remains of the prehistoric giant ground sloth that once inhabited the region, before returning to Puerto Natales for the evening. Day 3. Puerto Natales (Day at Leisure / Optional Hiking Experience)
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Puerto Natales independently, stroll along the scenic waterfront, or simply relax and admire the peaceful Patagonian surroundings. Alternatively, join an optional hiking excursion beginning at the Lago Sarmiento Entrance to Torres del Paine National Park. We walk along scenic trails overlooking Lake Sarmiento, an area frequently visited by native wildlife, including guanacos and, occasionally, the elusive puma. Along the route, we discover ancient rock shelters decorated with over 6,000-year-old cave paintings before continuing towards the Laguna Amarga Entrance. Our journey continues through the beautiful Paine River valley to Cascada Paine, before reaching Cañadón Macho, where large herds of guanacos coexist with rheas, grey foxes, condors, and numerous native bird species, offering exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Following breakfast, we will be transferred to Punta Arenas Airport for our onward flight to Santiago. Upon arrival in Santiago de Chile, we will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Day 5. Santiago de Chile City Tour
Discover the fascinating blend of history and modernity that defines Chile's capital on a guided city tour. We begin along Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins (La Alameda), Santiago's principal boulevard, passing the impressive La Moneda Presidential Palace before continuing to the historic Plaza de Armas, home to the magnificent Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and Santiago City Hall. Next, we visit Santa Lucía Hill, the birthplace of Santiago, where panoramic city views await. We continue through Parque Forestal, admire the elegant Museum of Fine Arts, and stroll through the charming Lastarria Neighborhood, known for its cultural atmosphere and beautiful architecture. Crossing the Mapocho River, we explore the colorful Bellavista Neighborhood, one of Santiago's artistic and bohemian districts. After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure to further explore Santiago at your own pace. Visit one of the city's outstanding museums, browse local markets, or simply relax at a café while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Chile's capital. Alternatively, join an optional full-day excursion to the picturesque coastal cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. We travel through the renowned Casablanca Valley, one of Chile's premier wine-producing regions, before arriving in the UNESCO-listed port city of Valparaíso. Here, we admire spectacular panoramic views from its colorful hills, explore the historic center, visit the National Congress, and experience one of the city's traditional funicular railways. Highlights include the charming Cerro Alegre, Paseo Yugoslavo, Paseo Atkinson, and Cerro Concepción, each showcasing the city's unique architecture and artistic spirit. We continue to La Sebastiana, the former home of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda, before visiting the elegant seaside resort of Viña del Mar. Day 8. Moon Valley Excursion
Today, we journey into the heart of the spectacular Atacama Desert, the driest non-polar desert on Earth, to discover the breathtaking landscapes of Moon Valley. Our excursion takes us through the impressive Cordillera de la Sal, where millions of years of wind and erosion have sculpted an incredible landscape of salt formations, rugged cliffs, and dramatic rock formations unlike anywhere else on Earth. We visit the iconic Three Marys, explore the fascinating Salt Cavern, and admire the natural formations of the Amphitheater, where the surreal scenery creates an almost lunar atmosphere. As the afternoon progresses, we witness one of the Atacama Desert's greatest spectacles as the setting sun transforms the surrounding mountains and valleys into a magnificent palette of golden, orange, pink, and crimson hues. Our final stop is the panoramic Ckari Viewpoint, home to the famous Coyote Rock, where sweeping views across the vast desert provide a truly unforgettable conclusion to the day.
