Somaliland and Djibouti - A Tour Back In Time

Somaliland and Djibouti - A Tour Back In Time 2140 €, 10 Days

Join us on a journey through two distinctive destinations in the Horn of Africa: Somaliland - a self-declared republic that is not internationally recognised as an independent state - and Djibouti, one of Africa's smallest countries. In Somaliland, we will discover the prehistoric rock paintings of Laas Geel, explore the markets of Hargeisa, visit the historic port of Berbera, and travel through the rural landscapes towards Borama. In Djibouti, we will explore the coastal waters of Moucha Island, see the limestone formations of Lake Abbé, visit Lake Assal, one of the world's most saline lakes, and discover the historic town of Tadjourah and Sable Blanc Beach. The experience offers an opportunity to experience the region's diverse landscapes, history and cultural traditions, as well as the hospitality of its local communities.

Highlights:
♦ Las Geel - the earliest cave paintings in the Horn of Africa
♦ Lake Abbe -  a true geological wonder
♦ Lake Assal - the lowest point in Africa and one of the world's most saline lakes
♦ Moucha Island - clear waters and excellent opportunities for snorkeling and marine life
♦ Berbera - a historic port city with distinctive old trading quarters and beaches
♦ Hargeisa - Somaliland's vibrant capital and an important centre of local culture and trade

Khiva, Uzbekistan: Things to Do, How Many Days & Getting There

Khiva in short Khiva, Uzbekistan is a walled Silk Road town in the far west of the country, close to the border with Turkmenistan. Its inner town, Itchan Kala, became Uzbekistan's first UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. Inside the mud-brick walls you'll find mosques, madrasas, palaces and minarets packed so tightly that you can walk from one gate to the other in about 15 minutes. People still...

Cameroon Tour Guide: Best Places, Costs & Travel Tips

A Cameroon tour delivers more variety in one country than most African itineraries manage across three. Rainforest, volcanic peaks, Sahel savannah, Atlantic beaches and more than 250 ethnic groups sit within a single set of borders - which is why geographers have long called Cameroon "Africa in miniature". It is also one of the continent's least visited destinations, so the crowds you...

Mozambique Tour: Your Complete Guide to Africa's Indian Ocean Coast

A Mozambique tour swaps the safari-vehicle crowds for something rarer: 2,500 kilometres of Indian Ocean coastline, coral reefs that rank among the healthiest in Africa, and an Afro-Portuguese culture you will not find anywhere else on the continent. This is a beach-and-culture destination first, a wildlife one second - and that is exactly why it appeals to travellers who have already ticked off...
