In the foothills of Sudetes - extinct volcanoes and quarries, fields and century-old forests!

Not well-known ranges of Kaczawskie and Rudawy Janowickie Mountains provide routes, which are not crowded by tourists. Most of the area is covered with fields and beech forests, it looks beautiful especially in the late summer and early autumn. The region has rich history and culture, to it bear witness many historical monuments with spectacular castles and palaces on the top.

Itinerary:

Day 1. Arrival in Prague
Arrival in Prague, time for sightseeing on your own. Overnight in a hotel in the city center.

Day 2. Prague - Kaczawskie Mountains
Transfer by private taxi to Jawor in Poland. In Jawor you will see a church made of wood, straw and clay (UNESCO), the town hall and the remains of the defensive walls. The route goes through the Kaczawskie Mountains: fields and forest reserve Lipa. Accommodation for 3 nights in a pension in Kaczawskie Mt.
Cycling distance: 20-30 km

Day 3. Kaczawskiе Mountains
You continue exploring Kaczawskie Mt. Cycling in the hilly landscape with fields and forest around Bolków. Time to visit the medieval castle and the market square in Bolków. If the weather is good, you can admire the panoramic views of the Karkonosze Mountains (Riesengebirge).
Cycling distance: 55 km (shorter routes are possible)

Day 4. Kaszawskie Mountains
This day you will explore the beautiful landscapes of the Kaczawskie Mountains: fields, extinct volcanoes (Czartowska Skała), quarries where mineral searching is possible, basalt cliffs called Organ. One of the best tourist attractions is Gorge Myśliborski with a specific microclimate. 
Cycling distance: 45 km.

Day 5. Jawor - Jelenia Góra
First part of the route goes among fields and rocky formations of Rudawy Janowickie. There are some routes with different level of difficulty. The second half of the route is a part of European Cycling Trail and goes along the river Bóbr. The ride is very easy now, you can admire two palaces. Overnight in Jelenia Góra.
Cycling distance: 25-70 km depending on the chosen route.

Day 6. Jelenia Góra - Lwówek Sl
The cycling route leads through Nature Park River Bóbr. There are dams, gorges, lakes and forests. You will also see the old town in Wleń, medieval tower in Siedlecin and one of the most beautiful and oldest Poland’s market squares in Lwówek Sl, where you spend the night.
Cycling distance: 45-60 km (according to what you choose - 2 different options).

Day 7. Lwówek Sl – Złotoryja - Prague
This day you will explore beautiful landscapes of the Kaczawskie Mountains: fields, extinct volcanoes, and quarries. The trip will end in Złotoryja, the oldest city in Poland located on the German law. Private transfer to Prague.
Cycling distance: 30 km.

Day 8. Departure
Flight back home

Currency fluctuations might cause correction of price at any time.

Most of you, who are used to walking/cycling during a long weekend, will be in condition to cope with a tour of this level. You should be in a good health condition. We have successive days of longer and more difficult walking and days of lighter walking/cycling. Some parts of the day routes are done at a higher altitude. The paths are in good condition. We walk/cycle for 5/7h a day.

These tours include trekking which is a little harder, normally on a challenging terrain. We take it for granted that you are in good condition and fit. You should be physically prepared at home to get the maximum of the tour. Most of the trekking is done at a greater height (max 3000m).
