Sahara Adventure - Algeria

The tour is dedicated to Tassili - the mythical rocky plateau, in which ancient volcanic activity and erosion have created a stunning landscape - a dream for every traveler. This is the real desert! Tourist walks on the dunes of Tunisia and Morocco will seem to you like playing in a children's sandbox. 2,000 km south of the Mediterranean Sea, in the very center of the Sahara, far from the cozy world we know, the raw and unadulterated beauty of the most uninhabited territory on Earth awaits us, the home of the mysterious Tuareg - the children and masters of the desert. Rocks and sand to the horizon. Amazing natural creations. Prehistoric drawings. Alien views.

After the desert adventure, we will rest in the greener part of Algeria - the capital Algiers, the ancient ruins in Tipasa and the Kabille mountains.

Tassili n'Adjer National Park, Kazba (the old part of the capital) and Tipasa are UNESCO sites.

During the journey across the Sahara, we will travel in jeeps with local guides who will cook for us. We will sleep in tents. It is recommended to bring sleeping bags or hiking sheets. Although daytime temperatures are high, nights in the desert are cold, so be sure to pack appropriate clothing. A backpack and other personal camping gear will come in handy.

Highlights:
- Tassili n'Adjer National Park
- The capital of Algeria
- Tipasa
- The villages in the Kabille mountains

Fantastic trip with Penguin Travel! Loved all the sights we got to see in Saudi Arabia. Abdulaziz and Lyuben were very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for solo and group travelers, especially those wanting an "off the beaten path" experience. Can't wait to travel with Penguin again!
