Triglav - "the three headed mountain" is the highest mountain in Slovenia, its national symbol and pride. Tradition says that every true Slovene should climb it at least once in their lifetime. Be one of our proud guests and join this club, and we’ll grant you this honorary title!

Walk highlights:
♦ The peaks of the Triglav National Park
♦ The highest Slovene mountain, Triglav
 ♦ Alpine mountain huts
 ♦ Mostnica canyon river
 ♦ Crystal clear Bohinj Lake

This is neither a walk nor a hike. It is a climb. There are via ferrata sections on day 3,you will need to use hands too. Not suitable for anyone with a vertigo problem, nor for children under 16 years. In line with our "Safety First Policy" we only offer it in guided form.

Today we are going  into the heart of the Triglav National Park and Julian Alps. The trail slowly ascends to Vodnikov Dom hut, amid the glorious views of Mt. Triglav (Slovenia's highest mountain (2864 m), and its neighbouring peaks. You will spend the night at Planika hut, right underneath Triglav.

Time to climb to the top of Mt. Triglav, towering high above Planika Hut. This is best done very early in the morning so you may enjoy the sun going up above the little country of Slovenia. After traditional baptism, receiving the honors for climbing the "Three Headed Mountain " and thus becoming a real Slovene, you will start your descend. A short stop for lunch at Kredarica hut and you'll head for your days' destination - Vodnikov dom above Bohinj Valley.

It became the worst nuclear disaster in history and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people and the evacuation of about 110 000 more. Ever since then it has been a subject of an...

The Silk Road: now and then

“The Silk Road” is a term that conjures up fairytale-like images of long camel caravans travelling through bare deserts, of brave adventurers and merchants bargaining in exotic oriental markets. This network of routes, which stretched about 11 000 km (7 000 miles) and connected the East and the West, is a milestone in the development of the modern world and the...
