Itinerary:
Day 1. Tripoli - Gharian
Arrive in Tripoli and transfer to the town of Gharian.
Day 2. Gharian - Gadames
On the way to Gadames we visit the underground dwellings in Berber villages Yefrin, Djado and Kabao.
Day 3. Gadames
The legendary oasis Gadames is located on the border with Tunisia and Algeria. Inhabited by Berbers and Tuareg from antiquity and used by the Romans as a military base. Visit the medina (the old city) of the city. We will have a traditional lunch in an old house. Late afternoon walk to the lake Mojazem in the dunes of the Sahara to the views of the sunset. Back to the hotel.
Day 4. Gadames - Tripoli
Early morning departure to Tripoli. On the way we visit to the grain storehouses in Nalut and Kasr al-Hajj. Arriving in Tripoli.
Day 5. Sabrata (near Tripoli), Tripoli
Sabrata also has a rich history which can be easily noticed by the Egyptian temples of Isis and Serapis, the Roman Theater and the mosaics in the houses of local notables, and the Christian basilica from the time of Justinian.Visit the ruins of Sabrata. Return to Tripoli and visit the medina and the city market.
Day 6. Leptis Magna (near Tripoli)
Examination of the remains of the Roman city of Leptis Magna - the arch of Septimius Severus, the Baths of Hadrian, amphitheater and more.Leptis Magna is among the best preserved in the Mediterranean area reminiscences of the Roman Empire. Founded by the Phoenicians in the XI century BC., the town owes its prosperity to its emperor Septimius Severus. Most impressive are the ruins of the amphitheater overlooking the sea, gladiatorial arena, baths, and the arch of Septimius.
Day 7. Tripoli
Visit the National Museum.Tripoli is the capital of Libya. Its name comes from Greek and means "three cities". The settlement got its name because of the proximity of neighboring Sabrata and Leptis Magna, with which it had close relations. But unlike those which were abandoned many centuries ago, Tripoli had always been inhabited. Its story recorded domination of the Phoenicians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Vandals, the Arabs, the Spaniards and the Turks. The only surviving monument from the Roman times is an arch from II century - that of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
Day 8. Tripoli - Sofia
Morning time for shopping and visit a hammam. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Sofia.
