The experience ends at the fantastic beach of Varadero, where at laid-back atmosphere you can compare the well known stereotypes of Cuba with the collected memories of real Cuba today. It is an excellent way to discover in-depth the Cuban spirit and lifestyle.

Trip plan:
 

Day 1: Arrival at Jose Marti Airport and transfer to hotel. Before long Havana has been the last port, a final resupply point for the Spanish ships leaving the New World and returning to the Old. In subsequent centuries it has grown in wealth, size and prominence.
Day 2: In the morning sightseeing Old Havana on foot. The tour includes visits to the four old squares Plaza de Armas, San Francisco De Asis, Plaza Vieja and Cathedral, the museum of Rum and hotel Ambos Mundos, where Hemingway lived. Free time in the afternoon. Return to hotel and dinner.

Day 3: City tour by bus of modern Havana, includes panoramic visit of the Revolution Square. Visit of Colon Cemetery. Drive to other modern areas of Havana like Vedado and Miramar neighborhoods. Optional lunch. Free time. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Transfer to Playa Giron and Zapata Peninsula (250 km). En route visit a crocodile farm and the Aldea Taina, a re-creation of Native Arawakan Indian village. The fantastic settlement’s reproduction is in Lake Guam and is reached by boat. In the afternoon a tour in the little Museum Playa Giron, depicting the history of the Bay of Pigs invasion and battles. Continue to Cienfuegos.
Day 5: Free day to enjoy nautical activities in the hotel: snorkeling, diving, kayaks, catamaran and also possibilities of a trekking in the local cave. Lunch and dinner included in the hotel.

Day 6: Breakfast. Drive to Trinidad. Guided sightseeing Trinidad, includes the visit of La Canchanchara bar and the museum Romantico. Optional lunch. Drive to Ancon beach for accommodation in the hotel.

Day 7: Breakfast. Excursion to the Sugar Mill Valley. Visit of Manaca Iznaga tower. Return to the hotel. Lunch. Free time. Dinner at the hotel
Day 8: Breakfast. Drive to Santa Clara. City tour, includes visits to Che Guevara Mausoleum and the museum of the Armoured Train.

Day 9: Bus to Varadero. En route visit Bellamar Caves, Montserrat hills, Gaviota ranch (incl. lunch). - Hotel Oasis Brises Del Caribe 4* All Inclusive basis

Day 9 - 13: In Varadero

Day 13: After breakfast transfer to Havana for the return flight (170 km).

Tour difficulty:   A 

No special experience is needed; everyone who is in condition to cope with long Saturday walks in the forest can also cope with these tours. As a rule, the trips are short and at a low altitude. Often, it is your choice to join or skip a day-tour. The routes follow a hilly terrain without steep ascents and descents. Normally we walk 3/5h a day.
