And taste ecologically clean homemade cheese and bread made under the bell. You will hike along the paths through green hills and vineyards, and canoeing in crystal waters of a mountain river. Tour highlights:
♦ Mt Biokovo - the second-highest mountain range in Croatia, located along the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea, between the rivers of Cetina and Neretva. Its highest peak is Sveti Jure (Saint George), at 1762 m.
♦ The Krka National park – a vast and primarily unaltered area of exceptional natural value, including one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems
♦ Mountain Kameshnica - Kamešnica represents natural border between Croatia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. It amounts in numerous vegetation species of extreme curative properties and purity and it is decorated by geotechtonical phenomenas such as karst sinkholes, caves and flats.
♦ Imotski lakes - beautiful lakes with vertical sloping shore were made due to degradation of a part of karstic land. The lakes take over the colour of the surrounding cliffs. World famous and appreciated are Red and Blue Lake.
Itinerary:
Day 1. Arrival / Split – Trilj
Transfer from the airport or seaport Split to the hotel Sv. Mihovil in Trilj by mini-bus. Accomodation and dinner. Meeting the guide and planning of the program.
Day 2. Cetina's canyon
Bus ride (20 min) from the hotel to Kostanje. Touring through lively villages of Republic of Poljica, you will get an insight into the culture of local people. Hiking through vineyards, olive groves and authentical villages that surmount the canyon. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3. Green hills of Trilj and Canoeing
Bus ride (10 min) to a remoted village Grab. Walking to the Grab's spring and 600 years old mills. Canoe ride to Trilj. Afterwards we slowly climb up to the top of hill Gardun and archeological finding Tilurij. We get down to the wire-bridge in Trilj, we cross it over and hike to village Bravichi where you can discover a unique and natural way of native's life. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4. Nature Park Biokovo
We go along the mountain road to the top of mountain Biokovo (Sv Jakov 1726m.) and then continue through valleys of Biokovo up to top Voshac. During the hiking we will enjoy in a stunning view of Makarska coast and middle Dalmatian islands. We get down to the village Makar where the tour ends. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5. The Krka National park
Bus ride (50 min) to Skradin and enterance to National Park Krka. Hiking along the river to famous Skradinski Buk and 17 impressive cascades where river Cetina pours over into Proshchansko lake. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6. Mountain Kameshnica
Bus ride (20 min) to the mountain Vostane (800 m) up to village Brljuša (1450m) where we cross over into Bosnia and Hercegovina. We continue by slowly getting down to Podgradine for 2,5 hours. Return by bus to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7. Imotski lakes
Bus ride (40 min) to Imotski. On this tour we will see the most interesting karstic sight where beautiful lakes with vertical sloping shore were made due to degradation of a part of karstic land. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8. Departure / Trilj - Split
After breakfast, transfer to Split Airport.
