An exotic road bike trip on traffic deserted roads along the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, which leads us from Bangkok to south Thailand to the island of Phuket. This trip is full of variety as we pass lush plantations, green rice paddies, magnificent temple sites, as well as tropical jungle and bizarre limestone karsts. Mostly we ride on practically traffic deserted roads, directly along the coastline where we experience lots of traditional villages. The most stage locations are located at beautiful beaches and are perfect for swimming and relaxing. A road bike tour of superlatives. For enthusiastic cyclists and culture lovers of each age! All accommodation in beautiful Hotels, often directly located by the seaside and mostly with swimming pool.

Bangkok, the pulsating metropolis of Thailand, offers uncountable choices for excursions. Temple visits, Palaces, Klongs, Museums. Culinary treats all one could desire and endless shopping in price paradise. The opportunity to visit the huge Chatuchak weekend market presents itself on the Saturday before tour start. Itinerary:
Day 1. Arrival to Bangkok
The participants occupy their rooms in the well cared 4* Hotel on Sukhumvit Road in the centre of Bangkok. In the evening we welcome you in the Hotel Lobby. You will receive all information regarding the tour, and you will learn worth knowing details about your host country. Afterwards we will hand over the team jersey to all participants. While enjoying Dinner together we will have the opportunity to get to know each other.
Day 2. Bangkok - Phetchaburi - Hua Hin = 76Km (47 Miles), flat
In a comfortable Minibus we leave Bangkok in direction Phetchaburi. The drive outbound of the very heart of Bangkok to our start location takes about 1, 5 hours. Our starting stage, we roll along the flat side roads at the shoreline until Cha - Am, where we rest for lunch. The last miles to Hua Hin we ride along the low traffic main roads. Hua Hin, the eldest sea side resort Thailand's welcomes us with plenty of good restaurants, shops, and a 5 Km (3 Miles) long white sandy beach. In the afternoon we will check in our Hotel and refresh ourselves in the big pool.
Day 3. Hua Hin - Prachuap Khiri Khan = 125 Km (77 Miles), flat
After a splendid breakfast we drive the first 20 Km (12 Miles) on the main road, and then continue on very nice, variety rich rural roads. Plenty of shrimp farms shape the country side. We cross the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and rolling towards the sleepy town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Along the seaside promenade, we ride to our Hotel which is located directly by the sea, only 4 Km (2,5 Miles) distance to the romantic beach at Ao Manao for a good swim. Very close by, you'll find a beautiful Buddhist temple with many monkeys on a hillock. In the evening we enjoy plenty of fine local specialities.
Day 4. Prachuap Khiri Khan - Haad Ban Krut = 72 Km (44 Miles), mostly flat
The first 20 Km (12 Miles) we ride along good side roads and then continue on the main road. We leave this road and drive the last approximately 15 Km (9 Miles) again on side roads to the beach of Haad Ban Krut - our finishing point for this stage today. The tiny dreamy village is a secret tip! At the end of the idyllic beach which is good for swimming a very nice temple site is located on a hill. We enjoy the view on to the enchanting bay and into the hinterlands covered by green foliage. On the way to our accommodation we will treat ourselves with a well deserved Thai Massage and will therefore arrive relaxed in our Bungalow resort. The resort is located directly at the fantastic, dreamlike sandy beachside and invites us to relax.
Day 5. Haad Ban Krut - Chumphon = 127 Km (78 Miles), wavy
We're cycling this slightly wavy stage on side roads which are rich in variety. We pass many plantations, rice paddies and palm tree groves. In the little villages we are always greeted with a heartily "Hello". The beach of Ao Tha Wua Laen our finishing point for today is located 15 Km (9 Miles) outbound of Chumphon.
Day 6. R&R in Chumphon
The day of rest offers the opportunity to sleep in, relax or stay by the Hotel pool. Nature lovers prefer the white sandy beach and the warm sea water. Later on treat yourself with a massage! The ones without respite enjoy one more additional round on the bike. Chumphon is considered as the door to the south of Thailand and therefore offers plenty of opportunities to explore the area with the tour bus. Or just enjoy the day at this beautiful beach, which is still a secret tip!
Day 7. Chumphon - Ranong = 140 Km (86 Miles), wavy
After 16 Km (10 Miles) we arrive in Chumphon, the capital of the province. Then the road gets a bit steeper, wavy and very curvy. We will see splendid fruit orchards and tall palm trees with fan like tops. On the way we will taste the local Dim Sum specialities. We pass the Isthmus of Kra, the narrowest part of the Malaysian peninsular. Ranong is located at the Indian Ocean. Here we check in the Hotel which offers Hot Spa/Thermal pools and swimming pool. The thermal waters are highly regarded for the healing effects. We unwind in the hot water pool or in the pool outside. The wellness facility invites us to a well earned massage.
Day 8. Ranong - Kuraburi = 127 Km (78 Miles), wavy
With an easy speed we mostly ride on flat roads, having our view set on the rain forest. There is always something to see! Let it be monkeys jumping around in the tree tops or elephants clearing the undergrowth, a strenuous work. The last miles towards our stage finishing point for today we rise up a slope, and therefore our Hotel is located like an oasis in the middle of the jungle. The beautiful resort is set in a splendid garden with a little lake and the swimming pool invites to a refreshing bath. We let the feeling of the evergreen rain forest sink in.
Day 9. Kuraburi - Khao Lak = 74 Km (46 Miles), wavy
Our stage begins today with a ride on a downward slope. This road leads us through rubber plantations, coconut groves and little villages. After Takuapa we will reach the coast of the Andaman Sea. Khao Lak, is located at the foot of the splendid lush green Lamru National Park. The resort's swimming pool and the beautiful white sandy beach invites us for a swim. Jungle fans can explore here the National Park on the back of an elephant!
Day 10. Khao Lak - Phuket = 114 Km (71 Miles), flat, 3 short slopes in Phuket
We will ride to our today's finishing point on the main road towards - Phuket. After 60 Km (37 Miles) we cross the famous Sarasin bridge, and reach the biggest island of Thailand. At Surin beach we will rest to view the deep blue colour of the sea and to top up our powers for the last 25 Km (15 Miles). The gradient ride up on the coastal roads treats us with spectacular panorama views unto the glittering ocean and the jungle blanketed mountains. Along the well known beaches of the west we ride to Kata beach, where we will arrive in the afternoon. Proud of the achieved, but with a little melancholy that this rich in experience road bike tour is already over, we lift our glasses with a refreshing drink to propose a toast to the tour.
