This exciting water trip starts with the spectacular Moscow Canal, passes through the unique medieval cities of the Golden Ring, the two large lakes Onega and Ladoga, the beautiful Upper Volga region and ends with the Neva: the river which has witnessed great events in Russian history and has had immense importance as a link between the Volga River and the Baltic Sea. Trip plan (Moscow - St. Petersburg):

Day 1: Moscow
 
Arrival to Moscow and embarkation. 

Day 2: Moscow 
Guided city tour in Moscow.

Day 3: Moscow 
We will visit the Moscow Kremlin, located in the very heart of the Russian capital, and three of its cathedrals.

Day 4: Uglich 
Today we arrive in Uglich, where we will visit the Cathedral of the Resurrection and Dimitry-on-the-Blood Church.

Day 5: Goritsy 
Today we will take a walk around the town of Goritsy and then visit the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. In the afternoon we depart for Kizhi.

Day 6: Kizhi 
We arrive in Kizhi in the late afternoon and visit the Open-air Museum of Wooden Architecture. In the evening we head to Mandrogi.

Day 7: Mandrogi 
We have time at leisure in the village of Mandrogi and departure for St. Petersburg in the afternoon.

Day 8: St. Petersburg 
Today we reach the most beautiful city of Russia - St. Petersburg. During the sightseeing tour you will get acquainted with the main architectural and historical monuments of the city, ride in a comfortable bus along its main streets and prospects, enjoying its splendid parks and gardens.

Day 9: St. Petersburg 
A guided visit to the Hermitage - one of the most popular city spots for tourists all over the world.

Day 10: St. Petersburg
Free day in St. Petersburg, possibility for optional tours.

Day 11: Disembarkation and departure (or you can decide to prolong your stay).

- The plan for the cruises from St. Petersburg to Moscow follows the opposite direction of the same itinerary. 

- The cruise on 22 Sept. is one day shorter (without a free day in St. Petersburg)

Practical information:  We use the German-built ships M/S Chechov and M/S Rachmaninov, which have approx. 115 - 120 cabins, and are approx 115 m. long. All of the Main, Upper and Boat Deck cabins are outward facing with windows which open to spectacular Russia's exotic destinations. All cabins have private toilet/shower facilities, refrigerators, forced air controls, radio and ample closet space. Facilities on board include a restaurant, bars, TV/video room, souvenir shop, library, hairdressing salon, piano bar, observation lounge and a sun deck. There are medical services on board and the ship is fully air conditioned. If you wish to stay more days in Moscow and/or St. Petersburg, we can arrange your hotel stay and additional sightseeing program.
